Encore

CooperVision Inc. ®, which makes Encore contact lenses, is changing the toric line name from Encore™ Toric to Vertex™ Toric, so although the two will be marketed simultaneously for a temporary period of time, both have contact lens of identical composition, quality, and effect. Any CooperVision® Encore™ toric contact lens, then, is interchangeable with the Vertex name and therefore should not be subject to competitive indecision between the two. In a word: Regardless which is purchased—CV® Encore™ toric lens or Vertex Encore™ toric contact lens—the buyer has the same exact product.

Going by the more familiar name, however, Encore™ contact lenses, or Encore™ Premium contact lenses, are conveniently disposable after a one-two-week cycle, which means that the contact lenses provide ongoing stability and consistent comfort for users. Through the utilization of CooperVision’s® UltraSync® Technology, every Encore™ contact lens has a smooth, well-defined edge to ensure a nice fit and minimal, if any, rotation. These contact lenses are made in a light liquid blue tint for promoting a fresh look at all times, and to allow safe and effortless insertion and removal from under the eyelids. The Encore™ toric contact lenses, especially, are comprised of 55% water and 45% polymer, or Methafilcon A, to ensure ongoing moistness and clear, healthy vision.

Encore™ toric contact lenses are specifically designed for those individuals who have Astigmatism, which is a condition where the ocular lenses are awkwardly curved and hinder an adequate amount of refractive light to enter the eyes. This results in blurry and aberrant vision, which is quite aggravating for many people. Toric contact lenses accommodate and correct that condition so that those with Astigmatism are able to see sharp and well-defined images and forms.

Encore™ contact lenses or like Proclear™ and Boston™ in that the promote moistness, because that is the key to healthy eyes. If nothing else, moisture is that which the eyes need to function clearly and comfortably.

Encore™ contact lenses, even Encore™ toric contact lenses are available in stores and online for those individuals with Astigmatism. Those wanting or needing to purchase a pair of Encore™ contact lenses, though, are required to first obtain a prescription from a professional and licensed eye care specialist before proceeding. Furthermore, if certain specifications are needed to customize a pair of contact lens, a specialist’s notes will facilitate the making of just the right design for the user.

Whether Encore™ or Vertex™, these contact lenses are an appropriate consideration for those having problematic vision, even if it’s as common as Dry Eye, and for those who want the clean, fresh look.
